Is the IPAD 2 a useful tool for the Jeppesen airway charts?
I haven't personally used it, but have been told by a friend that it makes life much easier in the cockpit.
Flying a long route, and instead of opening multiple charts, finding position on second chart, etc etc.
The IPAD 2 will make it much easier, and keep everything simple.

Anyone use this while flying?

to make the full use of it you need the 3G iPad2

:ok:It is a excellent replacement for the old fashioned EFB's. User friendly, and work like a charm! You do not even need the 3G one! Make sure it is a Ipad2, as the Ipad1 sometimes failed a pressure test and to be legal, one had to get them pressure tested! Once you used this "Black Magic", you won't believe you ever coped without!

Having used JeppFD for a couple of sectors my only query is why have Jepp not put the small frequency boxes on the same as the paper chart? I know you can click on the airspace and it will bring up the frequencies for the FIR but this may run to 20 frequencies. The boxes on the paper chart only had a couple of sector frequencies useful for that geographical area. Apart from that I find it easy to use- now to get approval to use it in lieu of Jepp world paper charts- nice.
