In this weeks flight Cathay Pacific are again looking for Freight F/Os and Pax S/Os.
This time for the states/canada.

Any info?

Ad states "Right of abode, immigration and tax affairs are the sole responsibility of the Officer"

Does this mean they will not recruit you without the appropriate green card, etc. Surely, you cannot get a green card if you have no job..... chicken and egg syndrome!!

Or does it tarnslate that they will sponsor you to get a card, unless you are a complete moron?

Answers on a card please.

Oh by the way, would anyone recommend working for them?

Used to work for them, based US, so I will try to be neutral on the "are they worth joining?" question - that's up to you to decide. The pros and cons are well documented on Fragrant Harbour.

What isn't well documented on the Harbour is that the professional standards exhibited at CX in the Flt Deck are still second to none ( the guys are just too modest to bring that up all the time, I guess !!!! Management, and 411A, seem to just take it for granted, which is a crying shame...) IMHO.

Yes, you do need to have your GC, or be a US citizen; you have to do all the legwork yourself - no sponsorship. I'm not sure that CX could sponsor anyone for a GC, anyway - there's enough pilots in US as it is.

E-mail me for more info, if you wish...

Best of luck.
