Firstly, I'l give the obligatory 'sorry if this has been posted before' but after a lot of searching I can't find the particular answer I am looking for.
I have a CPL from Botswana and after flying there for 5 years I came home to UK and haven't flown since late December last year in Bots.
My question is if I don't do a skills test within the year what happens to my license? Can I remain not flying and when I need to just complete a flight test. That flight test would not be in Botswana though, I'd probably convert to a US, Australian or Canadian frozen ATP. Or do I need to complete the conversion before the skills test has expired, so as to keep the license current?
or,
Could I convert to an FAA PPL and then when the need arise complete training for the ATPL?
Any help greatly appreciated.
