What to write on free slots in the logbook?

As you can see on the picture,
this logbook has 5 optional entry slots on the far right, under a single category.


I currently have 1 slot filled with "Cross Country"
NOT realizing that I should have both Dual and PIC for Cross Countries.
I'm on my 4th page of logbook.
At this point, should I make corrections and fill another blank,
so that I have both Dual and Pic for Cross countries?
Or
Maybe just divide a blank diagonally into 2 blanks?


Since I want to fly for my career (airline),
I'd like to choose my free slots carefully and utilize them right.


I would be very appreciated to hear comments from people who fly/flew for their career.


If you ever had thoughts of,
"hmm, I wish I had a slot for that in my logbook"
or
"This category is a must-have and I'm glad my logbook has it printed"
please let me know.

Under what regulations are you flying, FAA?
At least in Euroland it's mandatory to write also off and on block times so for me that would be something that I'd write there.
Otherwise, it's missing various sections for things like:
MPA (Multi-Pilot Aircraft)
Co-Pilot
Simulator (Make, Model, Reg, + Hrs)
XC is a good choice like you mentioned. Usually not needed after you start flying commercially though.

I'm probably forgetting quite a few, but that's what I'd have.

I'm flying in Canada and I haven't got my ATPL yet.

By looking at ATPL requirements,
I'm thinking about putting the following.

Divide 1 diagonally and put Cross Country 1)Day 2)Night
Divide 1 diagonally and put Take off 1)Day 2)Night
Divide 1 Diagonally and put Landing 1)Day 2)Night


I will be have 2 free slots later for maybe Jet or Turbo prop times.

What would you say?

I believe you can put any operationally relevant data in the
spare columns but check with your Authority first, as your log
book is a legal document which, once stamped, it can use to
screw you in a court of law.

Examples -
- Hours flown in the capacity of checkie or instructor
- Command hours on type
- Go Arounds (if you feel a need to record them)
- Any other stuff

About 3 years into my airline career I started recording departure and arrival runways, pax load and holding time (into LHR!) ..... you could also record approach type (ILS/VOR/VIS/Circling etc).

With an electronic logbook you can then search the data for how many times you landed on LHR 09R or HKG 13 from the IGS etc.
