Hi sirs <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
Im fairly new to the world of flying so i hope you will not mind answering this question I have...in addition to all the basic training needed to meet the requirements to apply for an airline job, will I have to pay for the aircraft typ rating? or does the airline take responsibility for that?
i would immnsely appreciate your help.
thankyou.

Kamil.
Some do, some dont.
Some do then charge you £15,000 for it out of you pay over a few years. some even offer you a job but you pay them £15,000 to start, that then pays for your type rating. I would say more importantly worry about the cost of the course, then building hours, and when it comes to it think wether you think its a good investment. there are jobs available ( pre sept 11th and hopefully again soon) without.

Thanx for replyin
im 16 at the moment,
and im guessing its the major airlines that dont ask u 2 pay for the rating and its just the smaller 1's that do, with that in mind i can commense on training after A levels, however i really cannot efford another £15000, i have a budget of around £30000; merely enough for the CPL/IR frozen atpl!
i guess u can always pay the £15000 over the time wilst doing the job, that shud wrk, right
