View Full Version : Pilots with corrective lenses

I am presently with a major airline and I wear corrective lenses.
I am fully aware of the JAA and CAA rules for class 1 eyesight.

What I am interested in is how much discretion the CAA show to pilots with say 5000+ hours on large boeings if they slip over the -5.00 dipoter levels.

Do they really pull your license and thus terminate your career of is discretion shown.

I would love to hear from anyone who is greater than -5D and to have alittle idea of what might happen to me in a few years.

Any responses appreciated.

By the way if you check my profile, I am not actually a new user, only my MI6 status was compromised by an evil spy who I hunted down, tortured with an unfeasibly overelaborate death then let escape, honest it was just like in the movies.
