Anyone out there hear if there is any chance of a cadetship with Aer Wingless this year? I imagine with the no.of trained pilots out there looking for work, they would have no need to train anyone for a while yet. Any insights? Also, do they prefer to take on people with relatively little experience in the air; i.e before PPL status ? Or should one try to get as many hours and ratings as possible ? Any advice would be welcome.

I believe recruitment is slowing down. Direct-entries has been suspended, and I believe a large no. of cadets away training may not be starting their Aer lingus careers as actual pilots.
To answer your question, cadets are their preferred method of recruitment, direct-entries are taken on occasionally to make up any shortfall
GOOD LUCK!!
