I hear that there is a company in Thunder City, South Africa which has a couple of Lightning T5 jets that you can Co-Pilot for a small fortune. Does anyone know who these people are and how I may get in touch.

I would like to visit them when I'm in SA at the end of the year.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks, Aiki.

They advertise in most of the UK pilot-type press - but I'm afraid I don't have one to hand. I'm pretty sure that they also form one of the current methods of using reward points from your Gold Amex - find someone who has one!

More info: they're called Classic Jets. They have a website at www.classicjets.co.za (http://www.classicjets.co.za) (but it didn't work when I tried it). Best of luck! http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/cool.gif

The owner/operator is a chap named Mike Beachy-Head, the operation is named "Thunder City", based at FACT (cape Town International). A decent search engine will return the address. PS, a ride in the Lightning will set you back about GBP7500 or so.

Many thanks for your help!

I have managed to find the internet site as follows- www.thundercity.com (http://www.thundercity.com)

The site is very interesting and informative. A flight for me will be a one-off in September/November this year and I will post on the experience.

Once again, many thanks.

Aiki.
