Just saw on al Jazeera, a GF A320 skidded off the runway in India (I missed the name of the airport).
I understand the evacuation went ok, with only one passenger injured.
Any body got any more news ?

Already discussed in the GF Developments thread. Only 1 injured who broke his leg whilst jumping with no 'ladder' acc to local news. The other 6 where dismissed from hospital straight away.
According to passengers the plane was coming in wayyyyy tooooo fast. We'll find out when the report comes out.

Of course they could tell that by all the seat back airspeed indicators that are installed in GF 320's....muppets.

And another passenger reported that the Autobrakes were only set to Low and that that Autothrust was not engaged on APP

it happened at Kochi...COK...but everyone is okay and the reason that DGCA is pointing out is that the pilot didnt align to centreline and a/c skidded..

Apologies. This is not pre-empting the official investigation - just my opinion:
He tried to make TWY C4 at improper speed and experienced what Topgear's Clarkson calls 'understeer'.
