AMEL CFII to ASEL CFII

I have a client who has an AMEL CFII but no ASEL CFII. He wants to add the ASEL CFII to his certificate.

My question is, what is required to add ASEL CFII when you already have AMEL CFII?

I did the same thing.

I did a ASEL cfi ride in a C150 with a DPE and thats it.

He already proved that he is complex profecient with the AMEL.

What did your check ride consist of? Did you have to do a full Instrument Instructor check ride or something less?

Did someone have to recommend you for the ride or could you do that yourself?

Did you do it with a DPE or FAA?

Sorry for the 3rd degree, but I am trying to gather as much information as I can for my client.
