Just spotted this on Auntie and thought it may be of interest.

BBC News - Aircraft near-miss prompts Glasgow Airport shake-up (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-14527911)

Mods, please move this if you think there's a more appropriate forum.

Good idea Heathrow Director, the more class A around the safer the skies will be...simples :uhoh:

Using See and Avoid to ensure the safety of RPT jets is a joke. It is only a matter of time before a midair with a VFR occurs in E.

Just a thought (somebody may have explained it before) but can anybody tell me why Glasgow zone is so huge? A highly regulated scientific comparison (I held two charts up side by side) shows it to be bigger than Manchester or Heathrow zones. It can't be justified on traffic levels, can it?

Suspect the Edinburgh zone is huge as well.
