I've lost another jumper the 2nd one in the last 6 months. Anyway in the past i've got these NATO style ones from flightstore

NATO Wool Pilots Jumper Crew Neck £35.00 (http://www.flightstore.co.uk/nato-wool-pilots-jumper-crew-neck.asp/clothing/jumpers)

They are very nice but run me 35 quid a pop. Everyone else I speak to seems to get theirs from Transair but there even more expensive.

Could anyone offer any suggestions where they get theirs from and what sort of price they pay

Buy mine in the local Army surplus store, pay around £35 for wool but £20 if you can live with acrylic.

In the past I used to buy from Armstrong Aviation Clothing. Good service and realistic prices. Shirts are £12 compared to the likes of online 'pilot' shops over pricing. Theyre a proper uniform supplier and not an online pilot shop.

You will regret acrilic if you catch fire

MK, as an Optometrist, surely you can afford a decent piece of kit?!

And there lies the problem.

I've only managed to work one day this tax year as an Optom.

You could try retraining as an eye surgeon!

"You could try retraining as an eye surgeon!"

The hours aren't the best and the wage believe it or not is less than an Optoms

Parsons cheers for the link I'll chase them up
