Lydd Airport,(or as they like to call themselves now, London Ashford!) announces a new Airline flying to Le Touquet from December. Is this Sky-Trek (B.N.Trislanders) re-born or just another company who thinks that they can make it,when many have failed before them eg. Love Air,Janus Air,British Independent,Sky-Trek etc etc..? Anyone know anymore about this venture?

Will the new schedule take in the near legendary Shoreham-Lydd-Le Touquet route, or has Shoreham-By-Sludge been dropped as a hub of South East business enterprise?

The current state of the market renders Shoreham's big ideas rather bankrupt at present.

However, there are some committed people down there and given the right circumstances, things could happen in time.

The last thing that Shoreham needs is a bunch of timewasters - a la Sky Trek - that are always likely to shatter the illusions of some postive, forward looking locals.

Please, any Lydd - Le Touquet operators, leave Shoreham out of your equation.

What has puzzled me is why these guys bother with London-Ashford Intergalactic Megaport (er Lydd) for their Le Tooks services, Ok its a short sector but it is in arsse end of nowhere when compared with say Shoreham or Rochester, Biggin or even Sarf-end. Unless of course you happen to operate the airport I suppose
