I'm currently traveling in Europe and am hearing the UK controllers will be joining a large public sector strike on June 30th. Any truth to this? Thanks CZHU

No, just usual journo slack reporting. PCS, a big public sector union, are involved, and they include assistants in their union, who are also not going on strike (yet anyway), but obviously that means ATC strike to some. Happy travels.

The public sector strike was June 30th, we're now well into July.

When have the press ever bothered about getting their facts right in order to produce a story, especially when they could obliquely suggest disruption to peoples holidays?

Controllers and assistants were never going to go on strike over Public Sector pay...
