We all have crosswind limitations. Some aircraft have a max wind for operating the doors. At some airports you can land (airport open), only to find the croundcrew will not operate the jetbrigdes when the wind exceeds apx 50 kts.
Last week we (Europe) saw some fairly bad weather. My current employer doesnt have an overall wind limit for operation, its left to the commander to decide whether to depart/divert or stay on the ground. Fair enough.
What about you guys? If you have a windlimitation, what is it based on?
What about operation of the slides i high winds? Evacuation? Rescue services? Fire? Foaming?
