Finishing a Shorts type rating this month and looking for companies who may employ an F/O. CVs sent out to all UK operators but willing to go anywhere, especially Asia where we lived for many years (keep the wife happy).

So I'd appreciate any details of overseas companies operating the Shorts, especially those amenable to a Frozen CAA/JAA ATPL.

Many Thanks

Where did you do your rating? Won't they employ you?

Rating at Streamline Aviation. Hopefully they'll look at me when finished, but the pool of rated pilots is growing quite quickly so I have to look elsewhere.

Thanks again for the tips!

Motorhead,

Air Kenya, Wilson airport Nairobi operate a couple. Dont know about the demand for crew but not a bad place to work in Africa and can end up opening a lot of doors. Work visa's & licences can depend on how desperate someone is to empoly you.

Could you give us some info on the rateing with Streamline. Cost/Duration/Hours etc. Who is the contact at Streamline (tel no. please) and what was the course like? I've seen some conflicting reports re. doing a 360 rateing with Streamline but it is an option I'm considering.

BT check your email. Forgot to mention - you get about 7-8 hours on a 330 during the flight training.

Be REALLY careful with Streamline. A friend of mine paid for a shed rating with Streamline but once through the ground school didn't offer the flight training! This is a huge problem because you cannot finish a TRTO course with another Airline.

Eventually She got a job with another operator.

However Streamline did not give the money for the ground school back!

Again BE VERY CAREFUL.
