Canuck ultralight pilot drops in on strip club ? The Register (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/07/08/flying_visit/)

A Canadian microlight pilot is set to go down in aviation history after landing (http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2011/07/07/18389736.html) in the parking lot of a strip joint in Carignan, southeast of Montreal, popping in for a quick break and then flying off.

Sounds like a normal helicopter pilot to me, any of you lot fly ultralights on your days off?

got a few hundred hours in a Lazair w/ twin Limbach engines on floats and wheels. The design originally flew with 7hp chainsaw motors....so the 22hp aside the Limbach's cranked out made for pretty stellar performance....
Never thought to test the clearance over a 50ft obstacle in a strip club parking lot however......:(

Civil aviation rules state that pilots are not to land their aircraft in public places unless it's an emergency.

I'm sure a decent lawyer could try and convince a judge & jury that a visit to such a club might constitute an emergency.

THEY'LL NEVER MAKE IT STAND UP IN COURT THOUGH!!!!! :} :} :} :} :}

God, I'm funny.

When I did my commercial rotary, my instructor and I landed next to a restaurant just outside a small town and had lunch - no big deal - the locals pretended not to notice that it was a helicopter instead of a car.
