View Full Version : UK Airlines, Perfect Record?

A recent discussion in the bar revealed widely differing opinions on which UK airlines have an unblemished accident record.

Who, if anyone, have never bent an aeroplane?

(I wasn't thinking of ramp rash unless the a/c was under way, injuries due turbulence, or birdstrikes in isolation etc)

Input please?

I'm pretty sure Celtic Airways have never bent one.

Thinking quickly and off the top of my head, I can't remember Monarch Airlines bending one for a long long time, if ever.

JMC haven't......but we haven't been around that long. Did Cally before my time? Flying Colours didn't either but they weren't around long.

Caledonian lost a DC-7 early in their existence.
A list of all British-registered write-offs is at <a href="http://aviation-safety.net/database/country/G.shtml" target="_blank">http://aviation-safety.net/database/country/G.shtml</a>

Unfortunately there's no index (you have to page throught them all), so a google search may be quicker for a specific airline query. The site above seems to be spidered regularly.
