Where to obtain a "No accident/incident certificate"? Have UK licence so UK CAA?

I did ask this very pertinent question, once to a prospective employer.. I also added the crew of the ill fated presidential flight not so long ago, would have had a "clean record" and look what happened there. :ugh:

India, for one, requires it for employment.

The Singapore Civil Aviation Authority, for another, routinely issues it to those pilots seeking employment in India (and other countries).

No kidding, I had never heard of any such license either. Oh well, learn something new every day I guess.

I think you'll have write your own certificate (but they are probably used to people preparing their own documentation in that part of the world ;)). But really, this sort of certificate, should it exist, should be prohibited and any airline which requires them be banned from operation in Europe. This shows one of the worst sides of Asian aviation, that of "None of of pilots has every crashed, therefore, we must be safe" attitude. So apart from suppressing incident reports, it encourages false paperwork (I damn sure the CAA couldn't/wouldn't issue one) and will promote a blame culture. Smoking holes, here we come.

I couldn't get one anyway. Incidents are an occupational hazard. I have many minor incidents to my name, one serious incident and a minor glider crash - a wing and tailplane 'fell off' in flight.

These certificates are very usual outside the JAA world. Most certainly you cannot even approach your CAA to obtain one.
However, any agency or airline can (best via fax, not email...) request such a document from your CAA-licensing department and they will, after one or two reminders, receive a paper stating your clean status...went personally through this a couple of times already.

Once you have interviewed with SIA, without asking you first, they will write to your employer and ask if you are accident free, the rank you say you are and have the experience you claim!!! Can be a bit embarrassing if you have forgotten to mention to your CP that you are thinking of moving on!:ouch:
