New Zealand IFR/VFR Charts iPad App

This app has recently been released to Apple's App Store and is available as a free download. It downloads IFR and VFR charts (you can select either or both) and caches the charts for use offline (ie in the aircraft).

Sorry to highjack this a bit. I've always wondered why all the rush to use iPads for viewing these charts? I would have thought that an eBook reader would be better, cheaper and lighter.
