Hi gents,

I am working for an MRO in South East Asia. Was going through manuals on Trent 700 family. A doubt emergerd over rationalisation of Trent 772B-60. I understand the "772" and "B" parts. However, I exhausted all options in trying to figure out what could "-60" refer to. Kindly assist in enhancing my understanding of the engine.

Cheers

p/s: the engine type certificate sata sheet pdf from caa uk was one of the few nearest documents i could land my hand on, in pursuit of getting an answer. in another pdf source documenting cathay aircraft, read the reason why there is a "B". But the answer for "-60" remains elusive!:ugh:

Hi Glueball,

Thanks for helping me. Unfortunately, that was the same caa pdf doc I was referring to in my initial query.

I poured over the doc once again, In case I may have missed out. They did mention about the rationale behind "B"; located at part III, paragraph 6, under Ratings, page 3. However the logic behind "-60" is still lost on me.

Please assist.
