Having spent some time in the Biggin Hill Trident simulator care of Raw Data's excellent sim days recently, a few questions sprung to mind regarding the Trident's autoland system.
Firstly, I assume that it was triplex autopilot assisted. I also noticed that the RadAlt had 'kick off drift' marked at 50' (I think). Was it assisted right down to the ground, or was manual control assumed at some point? if so, was this full manual control, or just the kick-off and/or flare (maybe due to a two-axis autopilot)?
