View Full Version : Questions for A320 drivers

Hi,

Just a few questions to ask:

Is that joystick 'force feedback'?

Does the trim on the A320 differ from another such as a 737? ( I mean the way you go about controlling it)

What speed (KIAS) do you climb out at after FL100 with a typical load?

I want to learn as much as possible about the A320. Could you recommend any videos, websites books etc?

many many thanks.

"Force Feedback"????

You make it sounds as though Microshaft (soft) built the darn thing...

A very uncomfortable thought indeed.

"Apporach Airbus 12345 back with you on the missed with a KERNELL.32 DLL Error, program has performed an illegal operation and will shutdown".

1. The joystick is spring damped and returns to centre when released. That is not force feedback, but then you get the feedback by sitting in the aircraft you are flying - rather different to Microsoft Flight Sim!

2. Yes there is a difference - you do not control the trim . The computer 'normal law' maintains 1g and thus keeps the aircraft in trim. The trim wheels still move between the pilots and can be overridden manually by holding the trim wheel.

3. After FL100 - 'Managed speed'. This is controlled by the computers and depends on weight, air temperature, FL climbing to, etc. and can be anywhere between 300kts and 320kts.
