Hello
I am wanting to obtain a computer based flight planning program for a SA227 Metroliner suitable for planning flights from New Zealand to the South Pacific. Can anyone suggest suitable options.

There are a few but not sure if they are too complex/expensive for your operation type...

Try Jeppesen or Navtech..both based at LGW.
Don't know what Jepps web address is but Navtech's is www.navtechinc.com (http://www.navtechinc.com)

Howdy,

if this is only the Metro, I would also recommend to look at PPS (a Danish FPL programm, with an Aussie pilot on the board).

Not sure if South Pac is included with their package. They use SWR Navdata and you can plan by clicking on graphically displayed airways. Really neat! It is widely used by business operators here in Europe.

BTW, Jepps www address is www.jeppesen.com (http://www.jeppesen.com)

Cheers

Thanks for the info, I am following up the jepp program. But it seems that I will have to purchase the whole world database just to cover the South Pacific.
