hey i was wondering for all you Australian airliner pilots know if there is a height regulation for pilots. im 16 and ever since i was 8 have wanted to be an airliner pilot and training is in hand right this moment, but being at 16 im 6 foot 2 and im worried if im to tall i wont be able to be accepted into a airline company like qantas or ansett. please get back to me on this issue as im stressing out hehehe.

height should not be a problem but if it is basketball pays quite well.

oh ok thank god for that, id kill myself if i wasnt able to be an airliner pilot becase im tall lol

I have a mate that works for AN. He's 6'4". I know another guy that is 6'7". I would say you are fine.

The height thing used to be associated with ejector seats, hopefully not required in the commercial world, something to do with getting the legs out in one piece I think.

I am 6ft 3in, and been flying in Oz for 40 yrs. My problem is that I am spreading sideways the same distance......Go for it young fella and good luck...

Went flying with a bloke a coupla weeks back who was in the selection process for Eastern who was 6'8''. Personally i'm 6'2'' and so far the only times i've noticed were in the back seat of warriors etc..

I don't have any idea how tall 6'4" is but in my gang the max length seem to be 2030 mm. (this is quite tall)

6'4" is about 1.93m
