It is with great sadness I have to report the death of Keith Crosby at the age of 91. He died peacefully in his sleep at his nursing home in Seaford on 04 April 2011. At his request, his funeral was attended by close family members only on 13 April 2011.
He was involved in setting up forward airbases in North Africa during WW II and then joined the team that set up ATC in the RAF, UK and eventually Eurocontrol.
He worked hard to improve and modernise ATC throughout his career; the most memorable event being on the Linesman/Mediator project which brought UK ATC in to the 20th century. His final tour was as CO of RAF West Drayton in the 1970s.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Helen, his two sons, Dane and Hamish and grandson Angus.
