Up until about 2 weeks ago when those lovely people at the Inland Revenue wrote to me, I'd always claimed the additional cost of my 'second pair of spectacles' as required by my medical certicicate as an 'Expense' on my Tax Return. They're now saying that it's not allowable because it does not apply to 'each and every holder of an office or employment'.Anyone in the same situation or any Tax experts out there?
