Anyone has statistics on yearly movements through Oman's airspace? Couldn't find any info on the web,apart from MCT stat.

Ron.

March daily movement average was 1,111 movements in the FIR (four sectors). I'm not sure about local daily movements but I would hazard a guess of around 200-300; could be more. Cheers.

Apparently they're high enough to warrant flow control of 7 minutes between a/c at the FIR boundary at LABRI and TARDI, with both points being regarded as one! And 20nm in trail spacing at LALDO.....:confused:

I can't remember the last time I saw that given to us when we were busy :}

Seriously, we feel sorry for you having to implement that and it just highlights the need for more effective and usable flow control measures. We simply have to do something because we're getting up to 45 aircraft sector loadings, we can't attract enough recruits in a suitable time frame to resectorise and that may suffer even more as our pay rates continue to deteriorate against everyone else in the Gulf and as our currencies appreciate against the USD.:(

Sector Loading of 45!!!! Over here the sectors get split when it looks like going over 16, and we have to have two people on each sector all the time, none of this one man stuff.

Pay isn't as high as the sandpit, but neither is cost of living, and the Euro is still holding it's own against the Pacific Peso.

It hasn't rained for the last fortnight (we must be approaching drought conditions), so sitting outside in the street drinking a few pints while eating pork products has been done more than a few time.

And we don't have those pesky riots etc
