I'am one of the lucky ones having clinched a sim ride following a succesful Recruitment day.

I really would appreciate any info on what their sim assessement involves so that I can "bone up" on whats required. Can any kind sole assist???

OK - It ain't to see if you know all about the 737 - just to see if you can fly. If you are not a 737 driver, listen up in the briefing and then go for it. Good luck.

very much like a GFT...So "bone up" on your inst scan.
He'll get you to climb at 250kts,500fpm to an alt, then continue climb reduce to 210kts etc...so basically inst flying!!! You don't need to know 737 in fact 757 has been used.

A bit like this;
Take off and climb to 8000'. Steep turns left and right. Descend and intercept a radial inbound to a VOR. One lap of the hold, followed by a procedural ILS. Maybe another ILS with the aircraft configured single engine. Speeds and thrust settings required given in the brief. Write it down and take this info. in with you. Questions will be asked as you are flying, to increase you work load.
