My wife is right handed and has broken her right arm, the Humerus ( not very Humourous, she says ) and it is not a break that can be plastered or pinned, so it has to be held immobile in a sling !$&^%$^%@ !!!!

Pecking away on the computer with her left forefinger she has now discovered something that we hadn't previously had to address, namely - the Caps. Lock key doesn't select the symbols normally selected on the number keys by using the Shift key !

Holding the Shift key down with the little finger of the left hand does enable one to reach some of the top line characters on the number keys, better on a laptop with a smaller keyboard of course, but basically an exercise in Circus Act dexterity.

It is difficult to type $&*^(*&)(* with the left hand only - or is it ?

Thanks.

P.s. Cooking questions next, followed by Laundry, and Housekeeping !!@$%$*%

±!@£$%^&*()

All typed with my left hand with fifth on left shift, not tricky and no stretching required.

Maybe you need to get her one of those finger exerciser thingies.

Otherwise, yes, as others have mentioned, sticky keys. You should be able to turn it on via 5 shift key presses... no need to visit the control panel.

- hmm! JB for you me lad.................

Funnily enough there's that thread going in JB about people wondering out of JB with their JB hats still on. :O

Wasn't quite what I was referring to, but I won't spoil your vivid imaginations...

From the kitchen retrieve a wooden spoon, hold bowl end in mouth and press the shift key by nodding her head, problem solved. :E

How about the On Screen Keyboard?

Type osk in the run box, or create a shortcut.

Depends how good she is at sinister mouse manipulation. :)

Sadly, many more than 2.

( Only 1 for me of course )

Thanx for all the tips, I'd read about Sticky Keys some time ago - and forgotten - without really understanding why one would need them - now I do !!
