On Saturday 02nd April 2011 the Icicles & Newbold Trophies Aerobatic Competition was held At Sandtoft.
The mornings weather held the start of the Competition up which was due to start around 10.00am due to low cloud after the scout aircraft went up to check.
At 13.00hrs, it was deemed that the cloud base had risen enough for the Comp to get under way.
Thanks to all the Staff & Volunteers who helped on the day & also thanks to Shaun Eagle for allowing enthusiast & photographers alike to walk the flight line with the Staff escorts.
Also thanks to the Kitchen Staff for all the hard work by the Ladies, in Keeping competitors & visitors fed & watered all day, they worked hard & did us proud.
Thanks to the Competitors & organisers for an entertaining day.
It was a great turnout for everyone & look forward to many more events like this in the future to welcome our guests to EGCF Sandtoft.
