European & JAA licence Differences?

Would anyone be able to advise me of the Differences between the "JAA" license and the "European" license.
Is there a Difference?
Would appreciate any feedback.

The word "European license" is often used for JAA license, as in the JAA there are 30 more orl less European countries. But European license is not an official term, I think.
