Why do some A/C have their tail illuminated as to see the company logo and others dont?

Because some pilots like to play hide and seek with controllers when its dark. They have an advantage if their a/c is dark coloured.

Some aircraft have'em, some don't. I remember one fleet where different specs for the same aircraft type meant that only half the fleet had logo lights.
