I have just read an article by Geoffrey Thomas in the latest edition of Australian Aviation. It was about Qantas. He states that some Qantas pilots earn close to $500,000. I wouldn't even think that the fleet managers earn anywhere near this amount and certainly line pilots come nowhere close to it. Does Qantas feed the media these sort of figures? Where would this ridiculous figure come from? Perhaps he should have checked this figure first because it is just plain wrong. Very disappointed.
