Would really appreciate any advice / other on this one:

Could one use Laser Treatment to correct shortsight, or would this be a NO NO ..?

Best Regards,

Thanks for teh reply MJ...

Would I be right to take it that it's a 'Non Runner'.?

Will the JAR ever change the rules so that they are identical to the USA / OZ etc.?

I feel gutted now......!

I am really the wrong person to ask. I just knew that they had discussed it before there.

Just reply to that thread and one of the medics will help you out.

Sorry

I understand that laser eye treatment is ok, u just have to be okayed by the CAA 6 months after the treatment and then have more frequent checks from then on, I think, and thats for a class 1 medical.
BUT make sure you get it done in a proper place, although some people come out of it with better than 20 20 vision there have been some cases, mostly in America, where the "victims" eyes have been buggered up even worse than they were before the treatement.
