UAE based ASM(Aviation Services Management) is a good alternative to big companies such as UV/Hadid... they offer personalized services...

In the US, you have
- Air Routing
- Universal
- Jeppesen
- Colt
- Base Ops

In Canada
- World Air Ops
- Skyplan

In the Middle East,
- UAS
- Jetex
- Hadid
- Palm

The problem with the US outfits is that they are geared very much to US operators. Same applies to the Middle East.

Of them all, I've found World Air Ops the most useful. Had one int'l operation into Japan and another in South America and both were handled far above the levels I had become used to. Google World Air Ops you'll get their contact details, we dealt with Philip Degare.

This is certainly a good cross reference of agents, never knew they were so many in this sector. We do mostly all 'In-House' but we are a small outfit.

We found both UV and Colt Intl good on FPL's support etc, The Hadid, UAS are good in some areas but they fees are high unless it's extremely short notice then it makes sense to use them.

My question; using either PPS or JeppPlan, would any of these companies save us money in a package type service? I.E. they cover everything in one price?

You should also consider 2 British Companies with regards to Traffic Rights & Overflight Permissions.
Overflight Overflight flight clearance specialists (http://www.overflight.co.uk)
METIS Flight Support metisflightsupport.com

Have used both & can recommend them.

Universal has a very good European trip support office based in the UK that is small enough to give the personalised service, and being UK based so its not geared to US operators in the same way.

We've used them a few times when we can't be bothered to do the work ourselves or haven't got the luxury of time.

For permits we have used them all over the years and currently use Palm DXB for Africa/ME and HS Avia BKK for countries W of India, both offer good value and excellent service.
For the rest forget the EU or US based service providers, IMHO it's much better to use a locally based Agent.

Jeppesen as provider of Jetplan and trip support could help with a bundled service solution. Guess UV could do the same and they both have offices in the UK

I read all your comments with a lot of interest; and since I work for one of the companies that is mentioned above; You may think I wouldn't have a neutral opinion.

It is my role however to conduct market researches every third month; and let me tell you that there are a LOT of companies providing trip support services across the globe and they certainly have people with outstanding sales skills!
However if the OPS department doesn't meet up to your expectations and fails to deliver, and that extremely low fees that were made to trigger your interest eventually result in the lack of supporting original invoices or other hidden fees; that's obviously the last thing you want to see happen!

I guess we can all agree that this an industry where network and knowledge is a key factor; and I guess the best approach is to do an analysis comparing your budget to your expectations ( or if in a rush just go to the biggest players) short select which companies matches those criteria and give the said providers a try and judge for yourself :-)

Hi Ryan / All,

Just to let you all know that Skyplan listed under Canada only, does in fact also have a 24/7/365 dispatch office based @ SHJ airport & a sales office based @ Dubai Airport Free Zone ...

Ladies & Gents,

ONJET at Kemble have worldwide experience and several global offices and have all done this before for an international management company. I see the benefits of Rusaero in Russia and JetEx in ME but why not have one number to call? We pride ourselves on a bespoke service and not a call centre or a faceless email. Oh and for the sceptics we have not lost one customer since start up and that seems to be a good measure.
