Congrats Dude. All the very best to you and your future wife.
And thanks to the crew for making it happen. :ok:

I would have said "Yes" myself if asked like that!

Well done that man

Lovely gesture but the mans voice had no 'umpfffh' or passion in it. It sounded like he was reading the instructions for a flat pack wardrobe!

Could be an interesting marriage.

I think he may have been nervous, have you never proposed?
It'd never happen in NATS, he'd be collecting his hat and coat and be being escorted off the premises.

have you never proposed?

Yep and I sounded a lot more enthusiastic too!

"Speedbird 123, cleared to land 27L, oh and by the way, will you marry me?"

Good luck to them both.

Could be an interesting marriage

Someone will have to update on that one as I believe the proposal in question was a while back. I recall hearing that when my then fiancee was visiting in EGPD and asking me why I couldn't propose to her like that.
This was over 8 years ago now...so hopefully this controller in question is still married...and getting mileage out of a very unique proposal.

Yes I understand it happened 8 years ago......I recently posted it on my FB account and one of our Ex NATS escapee's posted back to me that they are now her neighbours and the lady in question works with her in Vancouver centre!:cool:

Presumably achieved in a more discrete fashion? ;)

Cheapskate!!! Couldn't he have bought her fish and chips like a normal person?

A pilot might even have slipped her a sausage!!!!
