Can anybody tell me if there is still a ban on passengers visiting the flight deck?

I am a retired military pilot flying from CDG - KUL Malaysia (MH021) business class next week and would love a look around.

Wrong forum. Most airlines allow and always have allowed flight deck visits but few offer this inflight. Just ask at the end of the flight.

...flight deck visits but few offer this inflight.
We do, at my total discretion, as I am the Captain.
The few pax who desire these FD visits are really pleased, and it is my absolute pleasure to offer same.

Type, Lockheed L1011:ok:

Assuming you are flying AF, there is a possibility. Write a nice begging letter with a picture of what you flew. The flight crew will ask for an opinion from the cabin crew and if you pass... This assumes no training, serviceable seat, etc.

In most of the world ther never was a ban, just the stupid TSA in the US decided to poke it's nose where it doesn't belong. TSA = Same people who trust me to fly a jet internationally, but won't allow me to sit in a jump seat internationally on a carrier other than my own.
