After 3 years of flying the SLF around I need to do something different. I'm looking for addresses and contact details for jobs flying for the Red Cross or other Relief Agencies or similar in Africa, South America etc. Any information gratefully received.

Dunno about "similar" - most, I suspect, charter in or use Government Agencies when necessary. As for the Red Cross, I know they have some sort of aviation setup, based only in Switzerland. Dunno what they operate.

Southpaw,

Mission Air in Kissimee, Fl are flying for church organizations to Central and South America. However, they require a degree/education as a mechanic. The places they fly to are pretty remote and in case of problems, you need to handle it yourself (... in the jungle ...) and I should also mention that it is unpaid.

There is a company called AEA International who operate quite a fleet of aircraft up to Falcons.

They specialise in international medical evacuation.

I know they have offices in Singapore and Jakarta, not sure where else though.

Try Zimex Aviation based in Zurich, they do contract work for the Red Cross, UN and some oil support operations in Africa and the Middle East, operating Pilatus Porters, Twin otters, C-130'S and the like. If you have some STOL time they'll be happy to hear from you.
