Logging Flight Time: Level D

Hopefully someone can once and for all clarify an issue for me:

Can SFI's log Multi pilot function time when undertaking self training in a simulator?? (JAA)

My understanding is that you can log it in section 11 ONLY.

Any definitives?

Log it wherever it cannot be confused with real aircraft. A bit of scrap paper, toilet wall anywhere but a flying logbook.
