Anybody know if B.A. are going to pay the pilots bonuses this year?. .Interesting comment at LHR today. " All the flts are full". .As some airlines are not giving payrises etc due 9/11 something does not add up!

BA pilots don't get bonuses. In fact the company have asked for increased productivity from flight crew and are squeezing the CAA to allow long haul crews to operate beyond the maximum safe annual flying hours limits. Back in the days of old there was a profit share scheme for all employees, but we haven't turned a profit in ages. We are going to receive our 'holiday pay' which is not a bonus but a contracted 53rd week of pay which most non-management employees get. This should have been paid in November but the company decided they couldn't afford it. Its payment now has nothing at all to do with the company being threatened with legal action by a major ground staff union! Rest assured that in the name of consistency across all staff the chairman of the board and the CEO will be receving £200K payment.

Thanks HS. Still think that 911 is being used to rebase ALL aviation salaries, whilst Airline Board members make Hay!

The 53rd weeks pay is not really a bonus. It was negotiated as part of a pay deal a few years ago, and is historically paid in November's pay packet. Last November the company witheld this, along with pay cuts for management/directors.. .. .Last week, BA announced that this payment would now be paid in April's pay packet. The directors' pay has also been restored to pre 11/9 levels.. .. .Good on you BA.. .. .F33
