Every simulator training provider and airline has its own approved type rating syllabus. Approved meaning approved by their regulatory authority.

Judging from advertisements and anecdotal information there seems a wide variety in the amount and type of training that is conducted around the world for the typical B737 series command or copilot rating.

Request your experience of the number of fixed base (no motion) and full flight (motion) hours or sessions required to complete the above type ratings. Some operators conduct an absolute minimum regulatory number of sessions while others do a lot more. This assumes two pilots as crew so that a four hour full flight session would include two hours PNF and two hours PF.

Also where one pilot only is undergoing the 737 type rating how many sessions /hours as PF are conducted assuming the instructor also acts as PNF or PM?

Thanks for your replies in advance.
