Heard tell that Richard Branson has given up on aviation thus deciding to jack it in.

Anyone know anymore?

He may be "jacking in" in your part of the world SQ, but he is killing them down here in Oz with his Virgin Blue.

As one with some years in the industry. Still with many connections, I think I can say that he has not. Definitely not!

Qantas will have 100% of the market in Australia in the future. That is their aim...that is their game

Tripledeck, having seen Branson in action over many years both in the UK and now here in Oz I doubt that QF will ever get 100% of the Oz market whilst Virgin,or more correctly,Branson is around.

B.A. were going to put Sir Richard out of business within 12 months of starting up Virgin Atlantic. What they didn't figure on was that Branson has this incredible desire to succeed in everything he tackles and one of his best mates was Sir Freddie Laker. The fact that Qantas is 25% owned by B.A. will be enough incentive for Branson to stick around and "keep the air fair"!
