I'm urgently gathering information about the way British banks sometimes abuse, bend, or break rules when dealing with customers, especially those with nomadic lifestyles like airline staff.
If you have any experience or info on this, please contact me ASAP.

Don't know about the UK, but here in the US I just moved, and except for the mortgage, all other bills (phone, electric, cable TV, etc) was provided from the same suppliers.
I assumed my automatic checking debit would follow, as my account numbers didn't change, but nooooo!. Got behind without realizing it and they didn't call me until it was almost too late.
Direct debit or automatic charging to a credit card each month is the way to go, as the bill always gets paid. Downside, if the charge is wrong, I don't usually catch it for a month or 2.
