This may be a different thread to the one you were expecting.
I'm flying into Nice next month for the first time.Looking at the Jeps area chart "8400a" is quoted between MTL and AMFOU (uy30).Plog MSA is 11600.
Between AMFOU and STP (A3)"4800T"
Questions
Why the discrepancy between chart and plog?
What is the significance of "a" and "T"?
Thanx

The plog MSA is calculated from the worst of any SSA 10nm either side of track.
T is a terrain clearance altitude or MOCA (Min. obstruction clearance altitude). This is the lowest published altitude in effect between radio fixes on VOR airways.
a is a route MORA - route min. off route altitude. MORA is an altitude derived by Jepp. and provides known obstruction clearance within 10nm of the route centreline.

Hope this helps!

Not totaly related to the topic but usefull any way, Study the "riviera arrival", prepare to fly it on a nice day (not intended as a word trick). Don't know if you get to fly it on a SE one though? since i don't knw what kind of Alu your in.

Have a NCE day!
