What do I have to do ?

I am haveing a little difficulty understanding what it is I need to do to revalidate my PPL.

I have spoken to various instructors but have had various answers.

It is due to run out in May 02, I last flew in May this year so I have around 9 hours left to do the 12 required in the last year ?

I thought I could do a flight with an instructor, or 12 hours to renue it, however I now understand I need 12 hours + a flight with instructor ?

I am at university and cant really afford to do this in the time left.

Please could anyone offer any sugestions as too what I can do/need to do ?
