Has anyone heard anything more tangible about the resurrection of Canada 3000 Airlines?

For several weeks now, the national media in Canada has been reporting that there are a number of investors interested in restarting the airline under the old brand name - Canada 3000 Airlines. For those of us that used to work there, this is very encouraging news. However, it would seem the proposed start-up of May 23rd is still a long way off. And not alot of info is coming out.

Alot of the former staff, including Pilots and F/A's are still unemployed. I know many of the forum readers have been in the same position before, so any info from "Over There" or "Over Here" would be appreciated.

I'm itching to get flying again!!

Cheers,. .Elite Skipper <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Many people desperate to get back to work but under what conditions? The market seems to have tightened up and a domestic operation seems like a very bad idea. I would hope AK would go back to the sun charter and europe market. At least he might have a chance. His motivation skills with employees is non-existant which is reflected in his preliminary offer, I understand. Sad, sad industry in Canada- too many pilots with too few players= low wages + poor working conditions ( WJ & AC exeptions ) Will the pilot group stand united ???

Elite Skipper;

Like everything else in this business, one has to preface all one's statements with the phrase,"I heard". So here goes, I heard that AJK had bought 27 Fasken Drive from the receivers, and is employing V.C. and R.W. I would imagine the first priority would be to get themselves an AOC from Transport Canada. All else will fall into place after that.. .I also heard that the stations in New Delhi and Sydney never closed, and remain open awaiting the arrival of C-3.01.. .Can anyone in New Delhi or Sydney furnish an eyewitness accout of this?
