Got asked what aeroplane this cockpit section is from .... ?

Agree with Robin, definitely an Avro/Hawker Siddeley 738, aka 'a budgie'!

Looks like an Andover nose to me

No it's an HS748 cockpit section, we never got the Andover in Aus. (I think)

We did not have Andovers in Australia, however the Kiwi's did operate them. Don't know how you can tell which it is from the photo, but it sure is either an HS780 Andover or an HS748 from which the Andover was developed.

What's a 748 cockpit doing on top of a cargo container anyway? :confused:

It seems to be sulking with a "Hmmph...don't ask!" look.
