Can anyone shed some light on the cost of new tyres for A320s / 737s or any other type?

A figure was banded around at work recently but it sounded almost unbeleivable so was interested to see whay you come up with!

Depends on the specific type, however, having purchased a few new tires recently for an L1011, $2850/each is not unreasonable.

Wow, that's incredible! It ties in with the figures I heard - £5,000 for a Emb145 main tyre.

In many cases, it depends on whether (or not) a suitable core is available for retreading, and generally speaking, a retreaded tire yields considerably more landings than a brand new tire.

10200 euros for a main tyre on 737 thats crazy...we get tyres for cessna 208 and other smaller 20 seater turbo props for about 200$ a piece.
