With the imminent demise of One.Tel which I use for cheap international calls, can anyone give me details of another telephone carrier for cheap national and international calls which I can use with my existing BT line.

Thanks...........

Not as cheap as One.Tel, but you could try atlantic (used to be First Telecom):

Hi Bono Vox,

This will explain One.Tel's position.

t&g, just because the parent company has gone belly-up, don't assume that the service will stop. They went bust because of debt problems, I suspect that the UK operation actually makes money and that someone will buy them up.

No connection with/inside knowledge, etc etc

Humpty.......true, I hope that a buyer is found and the staff get to keep there jobs, I was only inquiring about other service providers but One.Tel will be a hard act to follow.

Chalky, your link leads to a page that requires a log-in but doesn't let you register. Any further assistance appreciated, though.

Hey PPRuNe directors, what about a forum called "stuff that does not relate in any way to aviation and really ought to be on another site"?

You obviously either don't stop away from home, or you have no one at home trying to phone you when you are(shame!). Otherwise you would realise how valuable One.tel is to a pilot.
NB. Reading the Telegraph today it looks like the UK part of One.tel should stay alive.

The One.Tel Cessna Citation Ultra seems to be whizzing in and out of YSBK at fair bit, probably shifting assets!

:) :)

you could try world telecom,

www.world-telecom.com (http://www.world-telecom.com)

They do calling cards, accessed by freephone numbers world wide.
